Watch and Act - Kian Road fire (Nambucca LGA)

A bush fire is burning to the south west of Bowraville. The fire is more than 14,000 hectares in size and is out of control.

Current Situation

The Kian Road fire is burning to the west of Macksville. The fire has spread in an easterly direction in the area south-west of Bowraville.

South Arm Road is closed to the west, from the Williams Hill Road intersection.


If you are in the area of Bowraville, Buckra Bendinni, South Arm and McHughs Creek Valleys, watch out for smoke and embers.

If the fire impacts on your property, seek shelter in a solid structure to protect yourself from the heat of the fire.
