Dry air, hot temperatures and fresh southwesterly winds will combine to produce Extreme fire dangers through the Darling Downs and Granite Belt, and Severe fire dangers through the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Wide Bay and Burnett and Southeast Coast districts on Monday.
Locally Severe fire dangers are also possible through forested areas of the Maranoa and Warrego district.
A strong and gusty southeasterly wind change is expected to move through southeast Queensland during Monday afternoon.
