SA Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North, Kangaroo Island and parts of Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, North West Pastoral and North East Pastoral districts.

Issued at 1:53 pm Friday, 20 December 2019.

Thunderstorms over parts of the warning area are likely to be severe producing damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h this afternoon.

Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Whyalla, Port Augusta, Port Pirie, Clare, Maitland, Murray Bridge, Kingscote, Leigh Creek, Marree, Hawker and Jamestown.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
