SA Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Damaging Winds

For people in Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island and parts of Mount Lofty Ranges districts.

Weather Situation:

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Maitland, Kingscote, Victor Harbor, Kadina, Ardrossan and Warooka.

Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the West Coast, Lower Eyre Peninsula and Eastern Eyre Peninsula districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.

A gust of 100 km/h was observed at Port Lincoln at 03:36am.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
