Squally, locally damaging winds today
Weather Situation: A large and deep low pressure system south of Tasmania is directing strong to gale force southwesterly winds across southeast SA.
Strong to damaging winds, reaching 55-70 km/h at times with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h are forecast across the warning area today. Damaging winds are most likely to be associated with showers. Winds will gradually ease from later today, but remain fresh to strong and gusty during Saturday.
Locations which may be affected include Mount Gambier, Murray Bridge, Kingscote, Naracoorte, Victor Harbor, Lameroo, Meningie, Bordertown and Burra.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
