Flood Watch Number: 1
Minor flooding may develop in the South Esk catchment from Tuesday afternoon.
A trough is expected to deepen as it tracks south from the mainland during Monday and is expected to cross Tasmania on Tuesday.
In the 24 hours to 9am Monday, rainfall totals of 0-2mm were observed in the Flood Watch area. The area is relatively dry.
For Monday, showers increasing to rain are expected to bring 5-10mm to the north east. For Tuesday, rain easing to showers are expected to bring a further 20-30mm to the north east.
River rises are expected in the Flood Watch area. Minor flooding may develop in the upper South Esk, Break O'Day and St Pauls Rivers as a result of forecast rainfall.
The Bureau of Meteorology is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings as required.

South Esk River
East Coastal Rivers (north of Bicheno)
