Weather Situation

Very hot and dry conditions combined with fresh and gusty northwest to southwesterly winds are expected over southern parts as a deep trough moves through eastern Western Australia ahead of a cold front that crosses the South West Land Division on Thursday. Very hot and dry conditions will continue in the north as fresh and gusty southeast to southwesterly winds are expected through the Pilbara and Gascoyne on Thursday.

For Thursday 19 December:
Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Gascoyne, Pilbara, Ravensthorpe Shire, Goldfields, Eucla, South Interior, Stirling Inland, Esperance Shire Inland, Roe, Lakes, Ninghan and Jilbadgie

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advises you to:

Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now.
Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, www.dfes.wa.gov.au and www.bom.gov.au.
Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.
